This summer is rich in events worth entertaining people. There is room for everyone’s taste. After FESTICAB, Burundi is hosting an event called Bujumbura fashion week, an initiative of a young stylist girl, Mrs Cynthia Munwangari.

This Thursday 3rd, July 2014 at Boulevard de l’Indépendance, under a usual mild temperature of Bujumbura, people of all ages and social ranks sat under splendid hospitality tents impatiently waiting for the opening ceremonies of the ever huge event named Bujumbura Fashion Week. Well decorated, the venue caught the attention of the passers-by. It was really an event which gathered the most stylists of Africa including the Nelson Mandela’s stylist.

Drummers started the ceremonies before the remarks of the event organiser, Mrs Cynthia Munwangari. She couldn’t help expressing pride of her work which is now being fulfilled thanks to what she summarized into PHD: Passion, Hard Work and Determination.

Like Martin Luther King, Cynthia said, “I have a dream” to become the most creative in the world. She then assured that her dream has come true. The fashion show actually exhibited the work of the young stylist through the outfit put on by the mannequins who entertained the audience.
