Burundi participation at Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE) 2014 , 1st Edition

Burundi participated at Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE) 01-4 October, 2014 Tanzania’s first ever International Tourism Expo, developed by Pure Grit Management and Tanzania Tourist Board.This event has been attended by One hundred exhibitors. His Excellency President Mrisho Jakaya Kikwete in collaboration with Burundian Minister of Trade, Industry, Posts and Tourism Mrs. Marie Rose NIZIGIYIMANA have opened officially the event. At this occasion Burundi stand has been selected among other stands to be visited by His Excellency President Mrisho Jakaya Kikwete.

Burundi stand drew a large number of visitors attracted by drummers. It was also the occasion for them to taste and enjoy Burundian coffee and honey beer commonly called ‘’AKUKI’’.

It has been a good opportunity for Burundi to meet professionals in Tourism Industry coming from all over the world. Burundi Travel agencies and Tour operators got the opportunity to get in touch with their counter parts to exchange their experience and tourist products.
